ThumaBooks is free during early access, and the plans below are what we intend to charge at launch — published here so you can hold us to the shape of them. If a number on this page ever differs from what the app shows you before you pay, the app wins, and we want to hear about it.

Four sizes of the same books

Every plan keeps the same ledger, the same languages, the same watchdog and the same export. What grows is how many hands are in the books and how much is flowing through them.

Paying yearly costs ten months: Shop $120, Business $290. Prices exclude VAT. Intended prices, published before launch so the shape of the deal is on the record. Final prices appear in the app before you are charged anything — and during early access, everything above is simply on.

Taking your own books with you

Export is complete, machine-readable and free, on every plan, forever — including on the day you leave for a competitor.

Reading what you already recorded

If your subscription lapses, your books become read-only. Everything stays visible and exportable. We do not delete your books because an invoice is late.

Your accountant's way in

Giving your own accountant or bookkeeper access to your books is part of the product, not a seat to sell you twice.

Asked before you pay

What happens to my books if I stop paying?

They become read-only. You keep access to everything already recorded and you can still export all of it, free. Statutory record-keeping is yours to satisfy, so we make leaving with your records the easiest thing the product does.

Will you use my financial data to sell me loans?

We do not use your financial data to make lending decisions about you, and we do not share it with any lender, without your separate, specific and revocable consent. Consent to that is never a condition of using ThumaBooks.

Is ZIMRA fiscalisation extra?

One ZIMRA fiscal device is included in Shop and three in Business; each extra device is $4 a month. A business that only needs fiscalisation can take ThumaBooks Fiscal on its own, from $5 a device a month. There is no per-receipt charge from us for submitting your invoices to ZIMRA. What does early access cost?

Nothing. Early access is free because you are helping us finish the product, and nobody is charged anything until prices are published in the app and you have agreed to them.

Do the AI features cost extra?

Every plan includes AI reads each month: 30 on Free, 300 on Shop, 1,000 on Business and 5,000 on Enterprise. Proposing entries and the watchdog are not counted. If you need more reads, a top-up is $2 for 100 or $8 for 500, and your books keep working without one.
